MLL Telecom were looking to relocate their existing headquarters on completion of their previous tenancy. They required the Cat B fit out of a newly found office space and assistance with the migration to the new building.
Tandem Projects worked with the client team and their commercial advisors to identify a suitable Cat A office, before engaging with a turnkey fit out contractor and managing the design and construction processes to ensure the Cat B fit out met the client’s needs and aspirations. We worked with the client’s in-house teams to ensure the IT migration was completed successfully and assisted with the management of the move process. On completion, we then assisted with the management of the dilapidations on the client’s former premises to discharge their lease obligations.

Time was the most critical challenge, with the client team having left it late in the day, with their end of tenancy date rapidly approaching. |
This was part of the reason for engaging with a turnkey fit out contractor to speed the process of design straight into construction. It allowed certain aspects to be pre-agreed so materials could be scheduled and ordered to reduce the overall programme. |

The building had recently received a Cat A refurbishment which in itself created some challenges as snags remained and as-built information was not fully complete. |
We worked with the landlord’s design team to resolve outstanding matters and provide surveys for missing as-built information, whilst design work was progressing on the Cat B fit out. |
